Brian and Connie have been involved in full time Christian Ministry for over 30 years. They live in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada and have four children who are very active in the church and community.
For 16 years they were on staff with Word of Life Centre in Central Alberta as Youth Pastors, Associate Pastors and Bible College Director. In 1994, Brian and Connie were released with full blessing from the Local Church and began traveling. Brian has been privileged to minister in more than 50 denominations. He speaks at Churches, Conferences and retreats all over North America. He has written a book on Evangelism and Youth Ministry, called “How to Reach the Lost Generation,” published by Destiny Image. Since 1994, Brian has traveled out from this Church as a Prophetic Evangelist. He loves to train people in healing and the gifts of the Spirit. He often takes people with him on teams for extra training and mentoring.
Brian serves as the Director of Wagner Leadership Institute Canada, a training institute founded by C. Peter Wagner that has spread around the world. Brian is helping start and oversee: WLI Japan, WLI Chennai India, WLI UK, WLI Kenya, WLI Rwanda, and 7 nations along the Silk Road. Connie works full time in the National Office of WLI, and travels with Brian. Brian has received his Doctorate Diploma of Practical Ministries with Wagner Leadership Institute, and Connie has completed her Masters Level. www.wagnerleadership.ca
Brian travels lots with mission work and has taken trips to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, India, Japan, China, Scotland, Philippines, Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the USA. www.BrianThomson.com
December 2006, Brian went to Rwanda to investigate the needs of orphans and widows. He was told that Rwanda was one of the largest orphan needs in the world because of the 1994 Genocide and the AIDS Epidemic. The needs of the nation gripped him, and Brian became the Founder and the Director of Home of Hope Rwanda, a ministry of Word of Life Centre, Red Deer, Alberta. Many teams have gone to Rwanda and 100’s of children and widows are being supported on a monthly basis.
